It happened last week

My kids are playing library and watching Harry Potter right now; two things that are making me very happy. Every time a commercial comes on, Calvin says he doesn’t want to watch the movie but once it starts up again, he’s glued to the tv. He's sick so I'm trying to keep him on the couch but he's been getting up and down all morning. Piper is the librarian and is handing out one book at a time but Ethan is annoying her because he keeps trying to sneak the books when her back is turned. She keeps renewing books and pretending to stamp them and at first I didn’t know where she learned that but then remembered that her class took a field trip to the library a few weeks ago. She’s so cute, I think I could make it more fun by putting check out cards in her books and giving her a real stamp....maybe we’ll do that this week....needless to say, it’s been a very entertaining morning around here with very little fighting. I’m taking advantage of this peacefulness to get my P365 post up.

Sunday 11/6/11

I bought those trays for the kids when I did my Christmas shopping. I had originally intended them as gifts but decided to give them to the kids now because I knew they would get a lot of use. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time, the kids use them for everything.

Monday 11/7/11

Mr. Boo working on his fitness. Calvin got my weights out and left them on the ground and Ethan thought they were the greatest things ever. He played with them for a really long time and never dropped them!

Tuesday 11/8/11

Ethan is a little obsessed with opening and closing things and really wants to figure out how to open the front door.

Wednesday 11/9/11

Piper has been riding her bike to and from school this week. I was a little nervous about it, I didn’t want her to ride too fast and I was worried she wouldn’t pay attention. She’s super cautious though and stays right in front of the stroller and it’s made the walk too and from school a lot easier now that I don’t have her running all over the place.

Thursday 11/10/11

I very rarely put all three kids in the bath at the same time but sometimes I’ll be trying to bathe one and the others will come along and hijack the bath and I end up with all three in the tub. This was one of those times. I was getting Calvin ready for a bath and I could not keep Ethan out of the bathroom, once Piper saw the boys in the tub she wanted to join them and it was a bubbly splashy mess.

Friday 11/11/11

Piper and Calvin had sooooo much energy towards the end of the evening and I needed to get them tired out before bed so I suggested the “dancing game” (Just Dance Kids). They had a blast and played it the next night too. Piper has actually been asking to play it all morning but I want Calvin to rest so it’ll have to wait until later today.

Side note: am I the only one that didn’t make a wish on 11/11/11 at 11:11? I didn’t have anything against that whole “ultimate wish” thing, it just completely passed by for me with no thought about the date or the time.

Saturday 11/12/11

Piper dressed him up. It’s not the first time Piper dressed up one of her brothers and it won’t be the last, luckily they are fine with being her life sized dolls. I’m not sure they’ll be as fine with it when they are teenagers and they see the pictures though....
