Five Question Friday

So the boys are leaving for North Dakota tonight and I don’t feel at all prepared!!  Allen went to finish up some work on the camper and JP is still sleeping....he’s about to get woken up because we need to run to the store to stock up on supplies for the house and for his drive.....I’m not quite sure I’m ready to start this journey but there is no turning back now!  So I’ll just relax, drink my coffee and do some

1. What is your favorite Christmas decoration in your house?
I’m gonna have to go with the tree.  I don’t really have any other Christmas decorations....for some reason I  never think to buy them.  Probably because we still haven’t found our “permanent” house and so I haven’t ever decorated, even just normal every day stuff.  I plan on changing that next year because once we move to North Dakota, I refuse to move again until it’s time to buy a house or pick a new state.

2. Do you finish your Christmas shopping early or are you a last minute type?
I tend to shop right up until Christmas because there are always last minute things I come across.  I usually get the bulk of my shopping done by the first week of December, this year I got a huge chunk done in November and felt way ahead.  But....of course, now that just gives me more time to find extras so I’m still not done.

3. When do you turn on your heat?
When it gets cold!  Usually not until maybe January.....Actually, we keep our heater set at 70 so if I think the temp in the house is going to drop lower than that, I’ll turn it on.  It’s been on for a few days now because we had a nice frosty cold front blow through Florida but I think it’s going to start heating up again for the weekend.  70 probably sounds high but any lower than that and our house feels icy....even 70 is pushing it, I think it would be more comfy at 72 but I just can’t let myself set it that high.

4. Do you ever wish your blog was private?
Mine *kind of* is.  I’d say less than a handful of my friends and family have the address so it feels private to me.  Sometimes I do wish I had the ability to block a person from reading it because there are some things I want to talk out on here and feel like I can’t because I would end up starting a war that I’m not up to fighting......especially since my blog is supposed to be my outlet for things and when I can’t even talk about something that really needs to be mentally worked out...... it’s frustrating.

5. Do you put your deodorant on before of after you put on your shirt?
Ok, JP always gives me a hard time about this...he thinks it’s weird that I put my shirt on first and then my deodorant.  I just don’t have the skills to do the deodorant first!  Even if I use the kind that isn’t supposed to leave white marks, they always do and I end up with streaks of white down the sides of my shirt.  I’m convinced it’s a lady thing to do it that way and I’m really curious to find out if my theory is true when I read everyone else’s answers.
